Travel Medicine

Prepare for Your Next Trip

When we travel overseas, we expose ourselves to new environmental factors that could affect our health. In fact, it is estimated that up to 50 percent of travelers become sick at some point on their trip. Whether you are traveling for pleasure or business, we are ready to help. We provide travel medicine programs at several of our facilities to ensure that our patients can travel overseas with confidence.

Our Travel Medicine Programs

If you are planning to travel to another continent, it's important that you receive the preventative medicine and education you need to avoid the illnesses that commonly plague visitors. Our facilities are ready to provide these immunizations, examinations, and resources before you embark on your trip.

We are pleased to offer pre- and post-travel evaluations along with travel-recommended vaccines including the required Yellow Fever Vaccine/Certification (required) as well as the following immunizations:

  • Hepatitis A vaccine
  • Hepatitis C vaccine
  • Polio vaccine
  • Yellow fever vaccine/certificates
  • Rabies vaccine
  • Meningococcal vaccine
  • Typhoid polysaccharide vaccine
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
  • Diphtheria/tetanus
  • Japanese encephalitis

If you don't see a vaccine you are looking for above, please contact us and we will let you know if we are able to provide it.

We are an approved Yellow Fever Vaccine Center by Department of Health State of New Jersey.

Our friendly, knowledgeable physicians are also ready to provide the examinations, documentation and education travelers need to complete their trip with minimal health concerns.

Post-Travel Examinations

Post-travel services include a follow-up examination for travelers who were possibly exposed to unsanitary conditions, parasites or infections.

When planning a trip, travelers should seek preventative medicine/travel medication education 4 to 6 weeks before their travel. Our travel medicine counseling services can also ensure that patients take appropriate measures — such as frequent hand washing and renewing prescriptions before traveling — to ensure that they stay as healthy as possible while away from home.
